Alston & Bird has selected Heather Barger, senior associate in the firm’s Litigation & Trial Practice Group, and Christina Anderson, associate in the Finance Group, as members of the 2019 class of Pathfinders, a career development program sponsored by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD).
The Pathfinder Program trains high-performing, early-career attorneys in critical professional development strategies. It includes intensive in-person training, online experiential learning, and opportunities to network with peers and esteemed LCLD Fellows in small group gatherings.
Based in Alston & Bird’s Dallas office, Barger represents clients in contract and warranty disputes, product liability cases, trade secret misappropriation and unfair competition claims, and defamation lawsuits. Her practice spans a number of industries, including telecommunications, manufacturing, media, health care, aviation, and financial services.
Anderson, who is based in the firm’s Charlotte office, focuses her practice on structured finance and other debt offerings. She primarily represents corporate trust clients in collateralized loan obligations and other asset-backed securitizations.
Founded in 2009, the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity is a growing organization of more than 300 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who are personally committed to creating a truly diverse legal profession. The Pathfinder program is now in its fourth year.
