Alston & Bird has selected Derin Dickerson, partner in the firm’s Litigation & Trial Practice Group, to be a member of the 2020 class of Fellows, a career development program sponsored by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD).
The Fellows Program trains high-performing, mid-career attorneys in critical professional development strategies. It includes in-person conferences, training in the fine points of legal practice, peer-group projects to foster collaboration and build relationships, and extensive contact with LCLD’s top leadership.
Based in Alston & Bird’s Atlanta office, Dickerson concentrates his practice on complex litigation matters with an emphasis on class action defense and data privacy litigation. He also co-chairs the firm’s Colleges & Universities Team. He has extensive experience in a number of industries, including telecommunications, financial services, consumer products, and higher education, and is a frequent speaker on topics relating to data privacy and class action litigation.
Founded in 2009, the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity is a growing organization of more than 320 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who are personally committed to creating a truly diverse legal profession. The LCLD Fellows Program, which has trained more than a 1,600 mid-career attorneys since 2011, is one of LCLD’s most important initiatives.
