Cheryl Naja, director of Pro Bono and Community Service at Alston & Bird, has been honored by the United Way of Greater Atlanta for her commitment to bettering the lives of children in the local community.
Named a United Way 2018 “Silver Child Well-Being Ambassador Champion,” Naja was recognized for her efforts on behalf of the organization’s Child Well-Being Agenda, which aims to improve the lives of 250,000 children in metro Atlanta by 2027. She was honored at the United Way’s second annual “State of the Children: Investing in Impact” breakfast on April 27, 2018.
Alston & Bird has a long history of working with the United Way of Greater Atlanta. In 2017, the firm was the recipient of the organization’s Logan Cup, awarded annually to a law firm that demonstrates the highest generosity of spirit and civic commitment in its annual United Way campaign, the fourth time in recent years Alston & Bird has received the award.
