Alston & Bird partners Jason Cooper, Chris Gegg, Chris Lightner, and Yuri Mikulka have been recognized in the 2025 edition of IAM Strategy 300 Global Leaders, an annual guide to the world’s top intellectual property strategists.
Jason, past chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property Area, has been named to IAM’s list of elite global IP strategists for nine years in a row. Focusing his practice on mechanical, manufacturing, and medical device technologies, he manages and helps monetize patent portfolios of various domestic and international clients.
Leading Alston & Bird’s Consumer Technology Patent Litigation Team, Yuri was recognized by IAM for the fifth consecutive year. She defends clients nationwide in IP litigation, focusing her practice on patent and trademark infringement and trade secret misappropriation disputes.
Chris Gegg and Chris Lightner, members of the firm’s Patent Prosecution, Counseling & Review Group, were ranked by IAM for the third year in a row. With patent experience in more than 30 countries, Gegg counsels domestic and international companies on design and utility patent matters and handles IP due diligence and agreements for corporate transactions. Lightner focuses his practice on strategic growth and management of international patent portfolios, along with transactional IP-driven due diligence, licensing agreement, and brokerage issues.
