Alston & Bird has been recognized as Litigation Department of the Year by Daily Report as part of the publication’s 2024 Southeastern Legal Awards. In 2023, the firm won The American Lawyer’s Regional Litigation Department of the Year for representing the U.S. Soccer Federation, the Kaiser Foundation, and former White House employee Cassidy Hutchinson, among other clients.
Additionally, three Alston & Bird partners were recognized in the “On the Rise” category, which honors the region’s most promising lawyers under the age of 40:
- Andrew Hatchett (Atlanta), partner in Alston & Bird’s Litigation & Trial Practice Group and a member of the firm’s Antitrust Team.
- Alison LeVasseur (Atlanta), partner in Alston & Bird’s Corporate & Business Transactions Group and a member of the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions Team.
- Amanda Waide (Atlanta), partner in Alston & Bird’s Litigation & Trial Practice Group and a member of the firm’s International Arbitration Team.
The Southeastern Legal Awards have been presented for almost 20 years in Georgia; 2024 is the second year the awards have been expanded to include the entire Southeast region. The Litigation Departments of the Year awards are open to law firms with any size southeastern presence and are based on the accomplishments of attorneys based in the Southeast but can relate to matters litigated anywhere.
