For the second year in a row, Alston & Bird has been recognized by the Los Angeles Business Journal as one of the most admired law firms to work for in Los Angeles.
In the publication’s 2021 report of the “Most Admired Law Firms,” Alston & Bird is highlighted among an elite group of law firms that are working toward creating diverse, positive, and supportive environments to help drive the success of their attorneys and their clients.
As noted in the report, Alston & Bird was honored for its “groundbreaking initiatives and programs to recruit, retain, mentor, and promote diversity in its own firm and in the legal industry as a whole” and for cultivating “an energized workforce with a passion for service and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.”
Highlighted in the publication is the firm’s Diversity Committee, which is composed of attorneys and staff who work to implement the firm’s commitment to diversity awareness by providing opportunities for understanding and learning through events, recognition, and celebration. The report also noted that Alston & Bird employees take part in TOP ECHELON, an internal firmwide program designed to foster a culture of exceptional client service.
“A truly successful workplace is one that helps and cares for its employees,” said Thomas Wingard, partner in charge of Alston & Bird’s Los Angeles office. “Supporting our employees both personally and professionally is at the heart of our firm culture and our focus on client service excellence.”
Earlier this year, the firm’s Los Angeles office was also recognized as a “Best Place to Work” by the Los Angeles Business Journal for the ninth consecutive year.
In judging the “Most Admired Law Firms,” the Los Angeles Business Journal assessed several metrics, including company culture, employee compensation, benefits, programs, and diversity and women’s initiatives.
