Yuri Mikulka, partner in Alston & Bird’s Intellectual Property Litigation Group, has once again been recognized as one of the most influential people in Los Angeles by the Los Angeles Business Journal.
Mikulka was named in the publication’s 2021 “LA500,” which honors the top 500 most impactful leaders in the Los Angeles region. This is the third consecutive year that she has earned this distinction.
With nearly 25 years of litigation experience, Mikulka has defended clients in court actions, arbitrations, and pre-suit disputes nationwide, eliminating claims seeking billions of dollars in damages and obtaining favorable verdicts and significant settlements for clients worldwide. She focuses her practice on patent, trademark, and copyright infringement; trade secret misappropriation; and complex business litigation. Active in industry circles, she serves in multiple leadership positions, including as president-elect of the Federal Bar Association (LA Chapter) and division director of the American Bar Association Litigation Section. She also serves as the Ninth Circuit representative of the 19-member American Bar Association Standing Committee on the Federal Judiciary, which evaluates all federal judicial nominees.
Mikulka was also honored earlier this year as one of California’s “Top Trade Secrets Lawyers” in 2020 by the Daily Journal.
The LA500 is based on independent research and reporting by the Los Angeles Business Journal.
