Joyce Gresko, partner in Alston & Bird’s Health Care Group and Legislative & Public Policy Team, has been recognized by The National Law Journal in its inaugural list of professionals spotlighted as Washington, D.C. innovators and thought leaders.
Featured in the publication’s 2020 “Washington, D.C. Trailblazers,” Gresko was honored among an elite group of 50 individuals described by the publication as true agents of change “who have made significant marks on the practice, policy, and technological advancement of their practice.”
Gresko was recognized in large part for her advising the clinical laboratory industry amid the coronavirus pandemic, helping companies navigate antitrust issues, reimbursement rates, and new laws and regulations. In addition to serving as general counsel to the American Clinical Laboratory Association, which includes industry giants such as LabCorp and Quest, she helped the group’s members cope with demands created by the pandemic, such as special data requests from state and federal public health officials and clearing regulatory hurdles to increase testing capacity. Additionally, she has handled countless media requests and congressional and White House inquiries on matters related to funding for coronavirus testing.
