Alston & Bird has placed No. 1 among law firms in People magazine’s 2020 survey of the nation’s top companies recognized for stepping up as leaders amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
In People’s fourth annual survey of the “50 Companies That Care,” Alston & Bird ranks as the top law firm and No. 14 overall among the companies identified as having gone above and beyond during the pandemic. Additionally, this is the third time in four years that the firm has been recognized for contributing to the community through volunteer groups, nonprofit organizations, charity, and other means.
As noted by People, the rankings highlight the “top U.S. companies that have succeeded in business while also demonstrating outstanding respect, care, and concern for their employees, their communities, and the environment during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
The survey was conducted in partnership with Great Place to Work®, which assessed more than 4.8 million employees’ experiences of how their workplaces have made a difference in their lives and in their communities. The rankings also reflect the generosity of each organization’s benefits, philanthropy, and community support, with a particular focus on activities in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The ranking is the latest in a series of awards recognizing Alston & Bird’s exceptional workplace culture. Other recent accolades earned by the firm include Fortune’s 2020 “100 Best Companies to Work For®,” Human Rights Campaign’s 2020 “Corporate Equality Index,” and Fortune’s 2019 “100 Best Workplaces for Diversity.”
