Alston & Bird has been honored by the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program (DVAP) with its 2018 “Gold Award for Pro Bono Service” for Dallas law firms with 50 lawyers or less.
The award reflects Alston & Bird’s tradition and longstanding commitment to pro bono, public interest, and community service work in Dallas. In addition to pro bono legal services, the firm participates in a number of Dallas community service activities, including tutoring elementary school students.
A joint initiative of the Dallas Bar Association and Legal Aid of Northwest Texas, DVAP is dedicated to increasing and enhancing pro bono legal services to the poor in Dallas through the recruitment, training, and support of volunteer attorneys.
