Bob Siggins is a senior policy advisor in the Washington, D.C. office, focusing his practice on health care regulatory and legislative matters, as well as tax issues. He provides policy insights and assists clients in developing, designing, and implementing their legislative and regulatory strategy.
Before joining Alston & Bird, Bob served for nine years as Congressman Earl Pomeroy’s chief of staff, overseeing all facets of the congressional operation in Washington, D.C. and North Dakota. In addition to managing legislative, administrative, outreach, press, and scheduling functions, he successfully led Congressman Pomeroy’s campaign through four re-election efforts in one of the most competitive districts in the country.
Before serving as chief of staff, Bob was a partner in a prominent Democratic campaign consulting firm specializing in campaign fundraising and strategy, where he led client development and management efforts. His clients included members of the Democratic leadership team and several committee chairs. He also served Members of Congress, such as Congressman Joseph Crowley, Congressman Xavier Becerra, Congresswoman Diana DeGette, and Congressman John Dingell.
Bob also served four years in the U.S. Navy (1985–1989) as a surface warfare officer and was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal for superior performance.
