Alston & Bird represented Samitaur Constructs, an urban development and property management firm, in a lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court. The lawsuit was brought by Nike against our client for claims of $30 million in damages arising out of the construction and leasing of Nike’s worldwide “Icon” photo and video studios. The court rejected Nike’s claims, finding that our client did not delay the project, did not breach the lease, and did not cause damages to Nike. At trial, Nike also abandoned a sexual harassment claim against our client’s property manager.
