Yuri Mikulka, partner in Alston & Bird’s Intellectual Property Litigation Group, has been appointed by American Bar Association’s (ABA) president as a special advisor of the ABA Commission on Women in the Profession.
The Commission on Women in the Profession seeks to secure full and equal participation of women in the profession and the justice system. The commission was established in 1987 to identify and remedy barriers to advancement for women in the legal space.
With over 25 years of litigation experience, Yuri leads the Alston & Bird’s Consumer Technology Patent Litigation Team and focuses her practice on patent and trademark infringement, trade secret misappropriation litigation.
Yuri’s leadership experience with ABA includes serving as the Ninth Circuit representative of the ABA Standing Committee on the Federal Judiciary that conducts formal evaluation of federal judicial nominees in advance of the U.S. Senate confirmation hearings. She is the co-founder of Carry As You Climb, a women’s leadership group for in-house lawyers and executives.
