Charles Cox, partner in Alston & Bird’s Securities Litigation Group, has been named a top litigator in Los Angeles.
In its 2019 survey recognizing the “Top Litigators and Trial Lawyers in Los Angeles,” the Los Angeles Business Journal honored Cox as one of the “very best litigators in the business … attorneys who go to the proverbial mat to fight for their clients. These are the lawyers you want in your corner in court.”
Cox, who leads Alston & Bird’s Los Angeles Litigation Team, earned a spot on this year’s prestigious list through his work as a litigator in complex and high-stakes business disputes, including securities class actions, derivative litigation, fiduciary duty and other cases resulting from mergers and acquisitions, corporate control disputes, and commercial litigation. Representing clients across many industries, as well as financial institutions and professional services firms, in federal and state court proceedings, arbitration, and courts of appeal, he has tried more than a dozen cases to a verdict or arbitration award.
A former U.S. Navy submarine officer, Cox serves as a board member of Strength in Support, an organization based in Southern California that supports the needs of military personnel, veterans, and their families.
Published annually, this year’s report highlights 74 honorees from more than 320 nominations.
