Alston & Bird partner Tom Evans and senior associate Rachel Naor, members of the firm’s Litigation & Trial Practice Group, have been recognized as Outstanding Volunteers by the Justice & Diversity Center (JDC) of the Bar Association of San Francisco.
Evans and Naor were noted for their contributions to JDC’s Federal Pro Bono Project, which provides pro bono assistance to people who do not have legal representation in civil cases before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. They were honored as a part of a group representing the top 15 percent of volunteers across all JDC pro bono public service programs in 2018.
The largest pro bono legal services provider in San Francisco, the JDC advances fairness and equality by providing pro bono legal services to low-income people and educational programs that foster diversity in the legal profession.
