Elizabeth Broadway Brown, senior associate in Alston & Bird’s Litigation Practice, has been installed as President-elect of the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys (GABWA).
Brown, who served as vice president of the organization in 2017, and will assume the presidency in 2019, took the oath of office in a ceremony in Atlanta on January 25, 2018.
Brown is a high-stakes business and commercial litigator who concentrates her practice on class action, privacy, and health care litigation. She has significant experience representing companies engaged in privacy, financial services, health care, and consumer class action litigation. She has also counseled and represented attorneys and law firms in matters involving issues of professional liability, defamation, and malpractice.
Founded in 1981, GABWA is a voluntary bar organization that aims to nurture, support, and galvanize the power of black women attorneys, advocate for women and children, and empower the community.
