Kim Peretti, Alston & Bird partner and co-leader of the firm’s Cybersecurity Preparedness & Response and National Security & Digital Crimes teams, has been named a 2017 “Top Lawyer” for cybersecurity by Washingtonian magazine.
Peretti has more than 16 years’ experience as an information security professional and lawyer in a career that has included positions as director of PwC’s cyber forensic services group and senior litigator for the U.S. Department of Justice’s Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section. A frequent speaker and writer on cybersecurity, Peretti most recently participated as a panelist on “Data Security & Privacy – Counseling the ‘Hot Topics’” hosted by the American Bar Association and will moderate a session on “Stress Testing Your Crisis Management” at the upcoming cyberSecure 2017 conference sponsored by ALM Media.
The Washingtonian publishes its Top Lawyer directory every two years. Attorney selection is based on a combination of peer review and independent research and reporting. The directory appears in the magazine’s December 2017 issue.
