Chris Williams is an associate with Alston & Bird’s International Arbitration & Resolution Dispute Team and Litigation & Trial Practice Group. Chris has represented clients in enforcement proceedings in federal courts and arbitral proceedings under the LCIA, ICC, ICSID, and UNCITRAL arbitral rules. Chris has also represented clients in New York Federal and State Courts in commercial litigations.
Before practicing international arbitration and litigation, Chris served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Panama for two years where he was the Ministry of Education Regional Coordinator. Chris focuses his pro bono activities on supporting LGBTQ+ clients from Latin American communities in immigration proceedings in the United States.
Chris earned his J.D. from the New York University School of Law, where he served as an editor on the NYU Journal of International Law and Politics. In law school, Chris externed at the Sylvia Rivera Law Project to provide direct pro bono services, while he also acted as a mediator in several venues. He earned his B.A. in international studies, with minors in ecosystems sciences and policies and contemporary languages (Spanish/Mandarin) from the University of Miami.
