Yin Zhao Tydir is an associate in Alston & Bird’s Technology & Privacy Group. Yin focuses on various data privacy and security issues across international jurisdictions, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), Colorado Privacy Act (CPA), and the privacy and security laws of China. With a comprehensive understanding of global data protection laws, Yin consistently supports her clients in technology transactions and data privacy compliance.
Before joining the firm, Yin worked as a privacy associate for the fastest-growing company on Inc. 500 and a top-ranking data privacy and security management software company. In this role, Yin provided subject matter expertise on operationalizing privacy and security compliance and is well-versed on cutting-edge privacy and security issues, including privacy and security awareness training programs, privacy impact assessments, development of security incident response plans, and security auditing.
Yin graduated with honors from Emory University School of Law and earned her bachelor of laws from China Foreign Affairs University. Yin is a Certified Information Privacy Professional, United States (CIPP/US) and Europe (CIPP/E), and a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM).
