Yin Tydir supports her clients in the areas of privacy, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies including artificial intelligence. With a comprehensive understanding of global data protection laws, Yin counsels clients on issues across international jurisdictions, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for both the EU and UK, California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), Colorado Privacy Act (CPA), and the privacy and cybersecurity laws of China.
Yin also advises clients on all types of technology-related transactions, such as software licensing, development, access and services, IT outsourcing and support, and data management. She further advises on privacy, cybersecurity, and intellectual property issues in connection with mergers and acquisitions.
Before joining the firm, Yin worked as in-house counsel for the fastest-growing company on Inc. 500 and a top-tier privacy-enabling technology and cybersecurity management software company. In this role, Yin provided subject matter expertise on operationalizing privacy and cybersecurity compliance and is well-versed on cutting-edge privacy and cybersecurity issues, including privacy and cybersecurity awareness training programs, privacy impact assessments, development of security incident response plans, and cybersecurity auditing.
