Chris Troutman is a senior associate in Alston & Bird’s Real Estate Group. He focuses his practice on property development, acquisitions and dispositions, office, retail, and industrial leasing, construction and acquisition financing, and other commercial real property transactions. His clients include business owners, developers, landlords, tenants, and other commercial real estate stakeholders.

Before law school, Chris spent eight years working in the construction and environmental industries, where he gained valuable project management experience and practical skills as a licensed construction contractor and environmental consultant. Leveraging his prior experience, Chris represents the deal-making parties in commercial real estate transactions as part of the team with an eye towards getting the deal done.

Chris is listed in The Best Lawyers in America^® “Ones to Watch” for his work in Real Estate Law and has been named to the Super Lawyers’ Rising Stars list in the Georgia real estate category. In 2015, he was recognized as the Lawyer of the Year by the Georgia Lawyers for the Arts.
