Apoorva Patel focuses his practice on complex commercial and investment treaty arbitration proceedings, court proceedings relating to the enforcement or challenge of arbitration agreements and arbitral awards, and other disputes involving foreign sovereigns and their instrumentalities. He also represents clients in international litigation in U.S. courts and advises on public international law matters and U.S. law issues in relation to foreign court proceedings.
Apoorva writes and speaks regularly on topics of international arbitration law and practice and serves in leadership roles in several global and national lawyers’ organizations focused on international dispute resolution.
Apoorva received his J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he served as editor-in-chief of the Harvard Negotiation Law Review. He earned his bachelor’s degree in public policy from Duke University, where he graduated magna cum laude.
