Janelle Owusu is an associate in Alston & Bird’s Financial Services Group. She focuses her practice on the banking and financial services industry and advises financial institutions on mergers and acquisitions, capital-raising activities, corporate governance, and regulatory matters.

Janelle earned her J.D. from New York University, where she served as an article editor for the Journal of Law & Business. She received her B.S., with highest honors, in public policy from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she also minored in law, science & technology. Before joining the firm, Janelle interned for the office of the Fulton County District Attorney.
