Laurel Newman concentrates her practice on estate and tax planning, estate and trust administration, and exempt organizations. She advises individuals, families, fiduciaries, and businesses, on tax and estate planning strategies, estate administration procedures. She frequently assists exempt organizations on a variety of issues, including formation, operational, and compliance matters.
Laurel earned her LL.M. in taxation from Boston University, with an estate planning concentration. She received her J.D. and undergraduate degree in criminal justice from Northeastern University. During law school, Laurel served as a law clerk for Greater Boston Legal Services where she represented indigent clients in Social Security Disability Benefits appeals, housing discrimination matters, and elder rights cases.
