- Defending a chemical company in litigation brought by a municipality involving claims for alleged soil and groundwater contamination from PCE.
- Defending a multinational chemical corporation relating to a subsidiary’s former asbestos mining operation in toxic tort litigation pending around the country at all stages of litigation, including trial.
- Defending a national retailer in toxic tort litigation involving allegations of asbestos contamination in talcum powder products pending around the country at all stages of litigation, including trial.
- Representing oil companies challenging a de facto moratorium on the issuance of well stimulation permits by the State of California, including claims that the state officials lack statutory authority to adopt a de facto moratorium and that the agency has implemented an underground regulation.
- Defended an electric utility company in lawsuit alleging personal injuries and property damages arising from alleged groundwater and surface water discharges and air emissions. Constituents of concern include hexavalent chromium, uranium, radium, and radon.
- National counsel for an international mining corporation involved in talc and asbestos mass tort litigation in multiple jurisdictions across the country.
- Obtained a defense verdict for a manufacturer of fluid sealing devices as a trial team member. The plaintiff, a South Carolina resident, alleged that his lung cancer was caused by exposure to asbestos from the defendant’s products onboard the U.S.S. Princeton and at various Georgia Power plants throughout the state.
- Secured a defense verdict for an importer and seller of automobiles as a trial team member. The plaintiff, a lifetime automotive mechanic, alleged that his mesothelioma was caused by exposure to asbestos from automotive component parts.
