Bryan Lutz focuses on commercial disputes and complex litigation at the intersection of antitrust and technology. He has represented essential patent owners, telecom equipment manufacturers, wireless and wireline carriers, health care companies, and manufacturers in a wide range of disputes involving intellectual property. Clients rely on his counsel during contentious licensing disputes, and he has extensive experience litigating Section 1 and Section 2 claims under the Sherman Act in multiple industries. Bryan regularly litigates disputes before the International Trade Commission, and represents plaintiffs and defendants in high-value essential patent licensing trials, arbitrations, and appeals globally.
Patexia has honored Bryan as one of the 100 best performing attorneys representing complainants before the International Trade Commission, and he is regularly recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® for Commercial Litigation. Bryan also serves as a vice chair of the Trial Practice Committee for the American Bar Association’s Antitrust Law Section.
Before joining Alston & Bird, Bryan served as a law clerk to the Hon. Stanley Marcus of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Bryan earned his J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Georgia, where he graduated first in his class. Before law school, Bryan worked in the construction industry, where he oversaw the design and build of residential and commercial projects.
