MaryKate Kustas is an associate in the Investment Funds Group. MaryKate represents private and registered investment funds in a range of transactional and regulatory matters, including fund formation, primary and secondary transactions, co-investments, and operating in compliance with federal and state securities regimes.

MaryKate advises clients on compliance with, and exemptions from, the Investment Company Act of 1940, the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, Commodity Exchange Act, Securities Act of 1933, Securities Exchange Act of 1934, SEC and CFTC regulations, and NFA and FINRA rules.

Before joining the firm, MaryKate interned for the Hon. Jeffery S. Frensley, U.S. Magistrate Judge in the Middle District of Tennessee.
