Leila Knox is an associate in Alston & Bird’s Litigation & Trial Practice Group, representing clients in high-stakes litigation in both state and federal courts. She has experience with a range of litigation matters including complex commercial litigation, consumer class actions, and government investigations. Clients include companies in a range of industries, including financial services, wireless network providers, health care, and insurance.
Leila focuses her practice in commercial and class action litigation. Her experience includes researching and drafting dispositive motions, handling discovery disputes, overseeing document productions, and working with experts. Leila has also drafted an amicus brief to the U.S. Supreme Court. She has defended data privacy class actions under the Drivers Privacy Protection Act and relevant state consumer privacy laws, as well as defending individuals in response to DOJ and other federal agency enforcement proceedings.
Before joining the firm, Leila served as a law clerk to the Hon. Carla Wong McMillian of the Supreme Court of Georgia. During law school, Leila was a legal intern for No Peace Without Justice in Brussels. She was also an editorial board member of the Georgia Law Review. While completing a B.A. in journalism with a focus in public relations, and a minor in communications, she worked as a public relations intern for a marketing and communications agency.
