• Advised drug and medical device manufacturers and distributors on state and federal licensure requirements for regulated products.
• Prepared state change of ownership requirements for drug and medical device manufacturers, and distributor licenses or permits.
• Analyzed the state regulatory landscape for delivering products containing tobacco, THC, and CBD.
• Provided overview of clinical trials to a client’s in-house counsel.
• Reviewed the website advertising and labeling of food and cosmetic products for unsubstantiated or impermissible promotional claims.

Barbara Jones-Binns works across practice groups to support corporate, regulatory, and FDA team matters. She advises clients on state drug and device licensure requirements and identified regulatory gaps in products regulated by the FDA. Barbara also provides support on privacy matters, corporate acquisitions and related licensure, and prepares applications for licensure.

Before joining the firm, Barbara was a research scientist at The George Washington University Biostatistics Center where she managed the submission of regulatory documents to federal agencies and reporting obligations for human clinical trials. Before serving as the operations manager, Barbara was a project manager for multiple clinical trials where she was responsible for training, reporting, and data integrity.

Barbara earned her J.D. from the Catholic University of America. She also holds a M.P.H. from The George Washington University with a concentration in health policy. In law school, she also was a member of The Journal of Contemporary Health Law and Policy and was an intern in The Advocacy for the Elderly Clinic. She has also received the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from the University of South Florida, Muma College of Business.
