• Advised a Nigerian state government on its Series 3 NGN100 billion bond issuance.
• Advised a non-banking financial services provider for insurances and investment needs on the $10 million investment by LeapFrog Investments through a private placement.
• Advised a syndicate of lenders on the restructuring of an acquisition finance facility advanced to the parent of an electric power generation company in Nigeria.
• Advised a private equity firm on the sale of its debt investment in C&I Leasing Plc.
• Advised a pan-African financial services provider on the syndicated $750 million facility to the Bank of Industry.
• Advised an industrial holding company on its joint venture with Colgate-Palmolive in Nigeria.

Yemisi Falade is an associate with the Corporate Debt Finance Team. She represents corporate borrowers, financial sponsors, portfolio companies, and alternative capital sources in transactional finance matters.

Before joining Alston & Bird, Yemisi obtained her LL.M. from Columbia University where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and worked at the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment. Before returning to school, Yemisi practiced at a leading business law firm in Nigeria, advising clients on securities offerings, private equity transactions, and mergers & acquisitions. She was recognized as a “Rising Star” in the capital markets practice by the IFLR 1000.
