Lea M. Elston

• Counsel to numerous investment banks in complex structures, including warehouse lending transactions and syndicated loan facilities.
• Represented a foreign bank in the sale of its residential warehouse platform.
• Represented an issuer in a $200 million+ loan and securitization.
• Represented the administrative agent and lender on multiple $300 million+ unrated term loans and securitizations.
• Represented the lead member of a consortium of institutional investors in connection with the secured financing of their acquisition of a financial technology company which makes loans to consumers for purposes that include home improvement, solar energy, and health care.
• Represented a financial technology company in connection with two revolving warehouse facilities secured by loans to consumers for purposes including home improvement, solar energy, and health care.

Lea Elston works with banks, special opportunities hedge funds, private equity funds, debt funds, and public and privately held companies. She has experience with complex business transactions backed by a range of asset classes, primarily including the purchase, sale, and warehousing of mortgage loans, mezzanine loans, single-family rental properties, and other mortgage assets

In her pro bono practice, Lea works with nonprofits focusing on housing equity, access to education, and family law issues.

Lea received her J.D. from the Fordham University School of Law, where she served as president of the Fashion Law Society, associate editor for the Dispute Resolution Society, and on the staff of the Environmental Law Review. Before law school, Lea worked in flagship retail management.
