Michael Deane is a partner with Alston & Bird’s Intellectual Property Litigation Group. His practice focuses on all aspects of patents and patent litigation in district courts, the ITC, the PTAB, and the Federal Circuit. Michael has represented clients on a range of diverse technologies, including telecommunications, antenna design, and fiber optics. Michael was previously a law clerk for the Hon. Rodney Gilstrap in the Eastern District of Texas.
Michael received his J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin. While in law school, he served on the editorial board of the Texas Law Review and was awarded the Outstanding Editor Award for his service.
He graduated with a B.S. from the Georgia Institute of Technology with highest honors.
