Andrew Boyer

• Representing a major clean energy supplier in litigation to convert a crude oil refinery into a renewable fuels facility and securing a favorable settlement with the petitioners that resulted in the court setting aside its prior ruling to allow initial environmental project approvals to remain in effect.
• Advising pesticide manufacturing companies to minimize risk exposure and resolve EPA enforcement actions.
• Advising shipping and transportation companies  in navigating state and federal laws and regulations governing the environment, including waste management and environmental compliance.
• Representing a major building products manufacturer in nationwide mass tort litigation as regional coordinating counsel and local counsel.
• Representing several major chemical companies in nationwide toxic tort litigation, including the largest environmental toxic tort litigation in the state of Georgia.
• Representing several large companies in protecting their information from public disclosure as confidential business information under various state laws.
• Secured an order granting the client’s record-expungement and -sealing request in state court as pro bono counsel.

Andrew Boyer represents clients in environmental and general litigation matters. Andrew’s non-litigation experience ranges from conducting due diligence in real estate transactions to editing asset purchase agreements and disclosure schedules and orchestrating multistate surveys on federal and state regulatory reporting requirements. He also serves on the firm’s Pro Bono Committee, the Georgia State Bar’s Intrastate Moot Court Competition Committee, and Georgia Appleseed Center for Law & Justice’s Young Professional Council.

Before joining Alston & Bird, Andrew served as a law clerk for the Hon. Chief Magistrate Judge Russell G. Vineyard of the Northern District of Georgia and externed for the Hon. Senior District Judge Richard W. Story of the Northern District of Georgia. Andrew earned his J.D., summa cum laude, and induction into the Order of the Coif from Georgia State University College of Law. Before law school, Andrew was a community outreach case manager and intake officer for Douglas County Juvenile Court and was an intern for the J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Development. He also earned his B.A., with honors, from the University of Georgia.
