Mary Chandler Beam focuses her practice on handling commercial litigation matters. Before joining the firm, she clerked for the Georgia Supreme Court drafting and editing opinions and conducting research.
While earning her J.D. from the Duke University School of Law, Mary Chandler served as the editor in chief of the Duke Journal of Law & Contemporary Problems, president of the Government & Public Service Society, and director of events & advocacy of the Duke Immigration and Refugee Project. She earned her B.S., magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia in psychology, with a minor in Spanish.
Mary Chandler has also interned with the Georgia Justice Project, a nonprofit with a holistic approach to serving clients impacted by the criminal justice system through direct services, policy work, and community outreach. During her time there, Mary Chandler assisted a client with her pardon application, conducted research related to the cyclical relationship between child support debt and the criminal system, and assisted attorneys with various matters related to criminal records and employment assistance.
