Alston & Bird has won a $7.3 million award for Cigna Health & Life Insurance Co. in its lawsuit against three South Florida clinical laboratories for wrongfully billing Cigna for medically unnecessary drug tests. After an eight-day trial, a federal jury in New Haven, Connecticut returned a verdict in Cigna’s favor for $7.3 million.
