Robyn Downing, associate in Alston & Bird’s Corporate & Business Transactions Group, has been honored by Pace University with its inaugural “Haub Law Rising Star Award” for her demonstrated passion and success in the practice of law.
A 2017 graduate of Pace University’s Elisabeth Haub School of Law, Downing advises clients on strategic transactions and financing activities and assists public and private companies with governance concerns and general corporate needs, including securities offerings and compliance.
Recent transactions in which Downing has acted as counsel include advising:
- Citi and Credit Suisse in their roles as financial advisors to Hormel Foods in its $3.35 billion acquisition of the Planters snack nut portfolio from Kraft Heinz.
- OncoSec Medical Incorporated in a $42 million public offering of common stock.
- Stemline Therapeutics Inc. in its $677 million acquisition by the Menarini Group.
In addition to her client work, Downing is a member of Alston & Bird’s Associates’ Committee, Pro Bono Committee, and Women’s Initiative Steering Committee. She is also an associate mentor and participates in the firm’s attorney recruiting program.
