Now in its 11th year, the “Best Law Firms” report covers 75 national and 127 metropolitan practice areas. The rankings are based on surveys of lawyers and clients throughout the United States. Criteria on which clients and peers were asked to evaluate firms include such areas as expertise, responsiveness, understanding of a business and its needs, cost-effectiveness, civility, and whether they would refer another client to the firm.
