In a strategic decision to expand its European practice, Alston & Bird has opened a London office on the strength of its growing finance and payments practices. The office supports the firm’s finance and payments industry clients doing business in the U.K. and across Europe, as well as local investors and clients transacting business in the United States.

Alston & Bird announces the election of 27 lawyers to its partnership, effective January 1, 2024. The new partners span six offices and 11 practice groups.

Alston & Bird has grown its Payments & Fintech Group and Financial Services & Products Group with the addition of Jonathan Garforth in the firm’s London office.
