Jordan Myers, counsel in Alston & Bird’s Finance Group, has been named to the board of directors of the ALS Association of Georgia, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the fight against amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
The appointment is effective immediately and will run for consecutive three-year terms.
Myers will serve the association through the eyes of both caretaker and patient advocate based on his personal experience with ALS, as his father was diagnosed with the disease in early 2018.
As finance counsel, Myers advises clients in all stages of lending relationships, representing financial institutions, alternative lenders, and private equity funds in a variety of secured financing transactions.
