Allison Muth, senior associate in Alston & Bird’s Investment Management, Trading and Markets Practice, has been recognized by Private Funds Management (PFM) as one of the world’s top private equity fund formation attorneys of her generation.
Muth was named to PFM’s 2017 “30 under 40,” an elite group of 30 attorneys under age 40 described by the publication as “tomorrow’s superstar private equity lawyers” working in the practice areas of fund formation, M&A, tax, and financial services (regulation) across the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
As highlighted by PFM, Muth advises clients through the entire life cycle of a fund – from initial structuring through to liquidation. She has taken a leadership role advising several prominent investment advisors on formation and operation of private equity and other alternative investment funds. Recently, she advised one of the world’s largest global asset management organizations on the formation of two feeder funds.
Muth is also active in prominent industry associations, including 100 Women in Finance and the Managed Funds Association Outside Counsel Forum. She regularly speaks at industry events, such as the 2016 New York State Bar Association Private Investment Funds Subcommittee and Cap-Intro EAST Conference.
