Michael Parisi, partner in Alston & Bird’s Finance Group, and Andrew Tuck, partner in the firm’s Litigation & Trial Practice Group, have been selected as members of the Daily Report’s “On the Rise” class of 2017, a select group of young Georgia lawyers who are making a significant impact on behalf of their clients, profession, and communities.
In honoring Parisi, the Daily Report noted his practice representing financial institutions in domestic and cross-border finance transactions, including leveraged buyouts, recapitalization transactions, and acquisition financings. Also highlighted was his leadership role in recruiting participants and serving as a moderator for Alston & Bird’s inaugural Debt Finance Forum, held in Atlanta in September 2016. In addition, he was noted for his pro bono and civic involvement as vice president and board member of Atlanta-based Page Turners Make Great Learners, an organization that works to instill and expand a love of reading in children.
Tuck was recognized for his practice representing clients in federal antitrust litigation and international arbitrations. He was also highlighted for his professional achievements, including his recent appointment as regional representative of the International Chamber of Commerce’s Young Arbitrators Forum, as well as for his long-time service with the Atlanta Federal Bar Association and Atlanta Legal Aid Society. He was further noted for his community service, including local school and church leadership roles, and including board membership for Atlanta’s Bobby Dodd Institute, a leader in workforce development innovation for people with disabilities and disadvantages.
The Daily Report’s annual “On the Rise” recognizes outstanding attorneys age 40 and under who have made an impression on their colleagues, their clients, and the larger legal community. Winners are selected by the publication’s editorial staff.
