Alison Jones, partner in Alston & Bird’s Real Estate Finance & Investment Group, has been named to the Leadership Atlanta Class of 2018, one of the nation’s oldest and most sustained community leadership programs for business, civic, and community leaders. Jones is one of 86 participants selected for the program from close to 500 applications received from across metro Atlanta.
Representing all sectors of Atlanta – education, law, nonprofit, technology, media, health care, and government, Leadership Atlanta seeks to inspire established leaders to support and help champion the betterment of the broader Atlanta community. Through retreats, full-day seminars, service projects, discussion groups, and community tours, members explore critical community issues, examine themselves as leaders, and build relationships of trust and mutual understanding.
Jones represents both developers as well as institutional real estate clients, including real estate investment trusts, funds, insurance companies, and pension funds engaged in developments, joint ventures, acquisitions and sales in transactions across the United States. She has also handled numerous multisite, multijurisdictional portfolio transactions.
Among Jones’ professional affiliations, she is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, Commercial Real Estate Women of Atlanta, and National Association of Women Lawyers. She is currently board chair of the Atlanta Children’s Shelter, in addition to being co-chair of Alston & Bird’s firmwide Women’s Initiative.
