Richard Grice, partner in Alston & Bird’s Finance Group, has been named a “Client Service All-Star MVP” in the 2017 edition of BTI Consulting Group’s (BTI) annual survey of the nation’s top lawyers identified by corporate counsel as the best at serving clients.
This is the second consecutive year Grice has been named to BTI’s Client Service All-Stars, earning him the MVP designation.
As described by BTI, the report celebrates attorneys who go the extra mile and “take, and make, the time to understand their clients in-depth – their business, their objectives, and their goals.”
Over the past year, Alston & Bird has been recognized for its client service excellence in other BTI studies. The firm ranked No. 6 among a small group of firms that in-house counsel most highly recommend to peers in BTI’s Power Rankings 2016: The Law Firms with the Best Client Relationships. And in another recent report – BTI Most Recommended Law Firms 2016 – the firm was singled out as one of only 25 firms that have won general counsel endorsements for the past six years in a row out of 650 core law firms serving large and Fortune 1000 clients.
Now in its 16th year of publication, the Client Service All-Stars relied on in-depth interviews with more than 300 legal decision makers at the world’s leading organizations with more than $1 billion in revenue and spanning more than six litigation market segments across more than 15 industries, including financial services, energy and insurance. As with all BTI reports, no attorney or firm can self-nominate, self-refer nor pay to be included in the findings.
BTI Consulting Group is a provider of strategic research to the legal community. Its research is based on interviews with corporate counsel about their outside law firms’ client focus, understanding of their business and delivery of efficient, value-added service and results.
