Alston & Bird LLP announced today that James R. Evans, Jr., has joined its litigation team as a partner in the firm’s Los Angeles office. With a national practice, Mr. Evans has nearly 30 years of experience defending complex and high-exposure lawsuits in state and federal courts. He has developed a reputation among his clients for his ability to successfully resolve their most difficult disputes. A seasoned trial attorney, Mr. Evans has extensive class action experience, and regularly defends high-stake matters involving claims of wage and hour law violations, employee misclassification, unfair competition, false advertising, disability discrimination and privacy violations.

Mr. Evans earned a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law (Boalt Hall), and a B.S. from the University of Southern California.
