Please join us for a panel discussion led by cryptocurrency and investigations experts Chris Tarbell and Matt Edman of NAXO, along with Kimberly Peretti, Kellen Dwyer, and BJay Pak, Partners at Alston & Bird, who will highlight what you need to know about cryptocurrency security, investigations, and regulatory developments.

While cryptocurrency transaction volume continues to increase every year, cybersecurity and regulatory enforcement have not kept pace with the rapid growth and changes in technology in the cryptocurrency industry, leading to a wave of thefts and scams. $3.2 billion worth of cryptocurrency was stolen in 2021—a 516% increase compared to 2020—and over $1.9 billion worth of cryptocurrency was stolen in high-profile hacks in the first half of 2022 alone.

As cryptocurrency and decentralized finance continue to become mainstream, it is critical for businesses, legal professionals, and individuals to understand how to think about cryptocurrency security and the related regulatory frameworks. This includes not only how best to store and transact in virtual currencies in compliance with current regulations, but also how cryptocurrency thefts occur, how to respond to a crypto hack, and how regulations may evolve.
