This training will teach attorneys how to effectively represent low-income individuals in federal income tax collections matters using the Offer in Compromise process. This includes basic information on federal tax procedure and practice and a thorough discussion of the Offer in Compromise process, including a broad overview of the purpose of this mechanism and specific practical considerations when working with low-income individuals to request Offer in Compromise relief. The course will last one hour.
