The CCPA establishes a number of standards that mirror concepts found in the GDPR. Other aspects of the statute raise novel issues for businesses. The challenges presented by the statute are compounded by a lack of clarity and definition in certain parts of the law.
This webinar will focus on areas that have proven particularly thorny for businesses, including the data inventory process, the scope of the definition of “sell,” and how to integrate California’s new mandatory privacy policy disclosures with existing representations and whether doing so creates a risk of a “material change.” We will also discuss the status of the proposed amendments to the CCPA that are proceeding through the California State Assembly and Senate.
