Kim Peretti was a key speaker during the session "Hacking, Attribution and MLA" at this event hosted by the Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business.
This conference was geared towards stakeholders and thought leaders on the issue of transatlantic mutual legal assistance (MLA). Speakers examined two cutting edge aspects of MLA: the intersection of MLA in law enforcement, intelligence, and military settings; and a technological assessment of transatlantic data flows and effects on the MLA system. These two topics have been under-explored in the MLA debate and are natural "next steps" for research that so far has focused on policy reforms to law enforcement MLA. Senior military personnel, intelligence experts, and technology experts will contribute, along with leading technology companies, EU policy makers, and civil society.
