Alston & Bird successfully defended Nokia of America Corporation against allegations that its router products infringed three patents owned by Correct Transmission. On November 5, an Eastern District of Texas jury cleared Nokia of all claims of infringement, finding that all three asserted patents were not infringed. After a brief deliberation, the verdict secured a complete victory for Nokia.

Alston & Bird represents FTI Consulting Canada Inc. as foreign representative in connection with the October 30, 2024 filings of Chesswood Group Limited and 13 of its affiliates in their respective Chapter 15 bankruptcy cases pending in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. Chesswood is a financial services company that filed Canadian restructuring proceedings under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act on October 29, 2024.
